Action Mailing Services has a respectable 35 year history in the US and a new office in the UK as of 2004. Both offices are principally focused on targeted, high quality business-to-business and business-to-consumer mail communications. Our customers come from the financial, advertising/marketing, insurance, non-profit, health care and manufacturing industries, just to name a few. We are experts in all aspects of mail processing with a full understanding of postal regulations.

Our objective as an organisation is to perform the duties of a professional mail handling division for the customers we serve. We relieve the customer of the need to purchase and maintain equipment and software, train and staff employees, physically handle product and understand the complexities of Royal Mail and other shipping systems.

Through detailed customer service and quality focused employees we are committed to providing mid to high volume business mailers cost effective mailing options.

History

John Robertson, a retired postal employee, founded Action Mailing Services, Inc in 1967. The core service of the company at that time was applying pressure sensitive labels to mailers, hand inserting envelope mailings and bundling for postage discounts.

 In 1979, John’s stepson, Mike Gilbert took over operation of the company and soon began to add automated equipment to help speed the processes and lower production costs. Much of the inserting that was done by hand previously was converted at this time to the machine inserters and the use of pressure sensitive labels was replaced by Cheshire labels.

In 1993, George and Tony Zirnhelt purchased Action Mailing and began focusing on new service offerings that would give customers more flexibility and the ability to incorporate newer technologies into their mailing programs –these core offerings included Laser Imaging, Fulfillment Services, Ink Jet Addressing and sophisticated Data Processing Services.

It is with this same dedication that Action Mailing Services Ltd continues to grow and evolve today – we are continually looking for new ways to help our customers be successful by seeking out alternative solutions and new technologies in the direct mail and fulfillment arenas.
